This little guy tugged at my heart strings.........

He was such a joy to watch! He always had a big happy smile on his face!
He was always eager to be called on, even when he didn't know the answers.

He was a delightful child and loved to dance!

He wore bright pink socks and pointed shoes that were too big for him! He brought tears to my eyes on more than one occasion. His heart was as big as that smile!

The soul is healed by being with children.

My team members being silly! We had pizza the first evening in Douala, Cameroon.
This is the European Rest House where we stayed the first evening.

Ready to roll out the next morning (Kim and me). The fog was heavy, as was my mind--from all the previous travel hours (22-24 hours).

Velmond, Andy and Garth in Brussels. Andy loved the Belgium waffles in the package!

Abstrast Photography

These were our little friends next door, the sons of the Baptist Seminary Librarians. Their simple, well built toys made me realize how really simple and enjoyable life can be--what a true gift from God. When I went to the door, after hearing their gentle knock, they told me they were there to "bisit with me". I gave them one of my last protein chocolate and peanutbutter bars, which they thoroughly enjoyed sharing. They demonstrated how they raced their little vehicles. They talked with Garth the previous day about the love of Jesus and had many good questions and comments for him.

I'm home, tired, and both honored and humbled to have served on our CASM short term mission team. I'm fairly well rested and will be posting several updates over the next few weeks. The best way I can tell my story is through my photos, of course, as many of you know........so here's the first brief message and story:
This is our team with our host missionary family--Dr. Philemon, his wife Linda, and daughter, Anna. This was a bittersweet day!
